Team Matthews is proud to announce that our corporate trainer Roger Harrod has been awarded The Thomas Built Bus North East Regional Trainer of the Year Award for 2019. Roger started his career with Detroit Diesel Allison in 1969 as a trainer at their Corporate Training Center in Detroit, MI. He then moved to the DDA Distributor Organization for NY State in 1974 and became the DDA Distributor Trainer at our location in 1979. He left the DDA Distributor organization in 2004 and became our corporate trainer for Matthews Buses. Since Thomas Built Bus began their STARS program for training Roger has been awarded the North East Regional Trainer of the Year in 2010, 2011, 2014 and 2015. Roger was also awarded the STARS National Trainer of the Year in 2010.
