Team Matthews as a part of the “NEW YORK” Thomas team along with Nesco Bus on Long Island represented Thomas Built Buses at the NYAPT ( New York Association of Pupil Transporters) show in early July in Albany. It was well attended by school transportation Directors from across the state. We had an outdoor display of our C2 with the New Detroit DD5 engine in it, as well as a C2 with a propane engine. There was even the Jouley Thomas’ new electric bus that we will be seeing on the streets as an eco friendly option soon. We had a complete DD5 engine on a stand in the booth where the salesmen could go over it’s features and benefits to current customers as well as prospects. This year there was an Irish theme and we went all out with Irish flag colored balloons as well as many Irish themed props. We even had a popcorn machine where we made green popcorn which drew a lot of people to our booth. Plus in the booth there was a Caricature artist doing stylized portraits of show goers. The Salesman did an amazing job representing us in a professional manner and it appears that we were the hit of the show. Many people had a hand in making this show the success that it was, including the sales folks, the service department as well as the Parts department.
