Parts and Core Return Policy

Return Criteria for New Parts

  • Non-Thomas/Freightliner parts sources from other vendors such as, but not limited to, Ricon, Braun, Cummins etc. returned for credit will be subject to the specific vendor’s return policy if not returnable to vendor
  • Parts that are considered obsolete will not be considered for credit
  • Parts must be returned within 30 days of the date purchased to be considered for credit Eligibility for credit will be determined on a case-by-case basis. Parts subject to 20% restocking fee less shipping charges.
  • Hoses, Glass, MTO (Made to Order), Chemicals, paints, tools, software, consumables, soft trim and Electrical products are not returnable for credit
  • Parts sold in sealed packages (seal kits, gasket sets, and minimum pack quantities, etc.) are non- returnable if seals are broken.
  • Parts must be current part number, unused, uninstalled in original packaging and in resalable condition to be considered for credit.

Return Policy for Remanufactured or Exchange Cores

The amount of credit allowed (Allowable Credit) shall be determined in accordance with the standards set forth in the Manufactures Core Acceptance Guide of Daimler Corp and associated vendors.

Customer assumes responsibility to return cores to Matthews Buses in a timely manner.

A UPS return label can be issued at customer’s expense at time of purchase for any returns including cores but does not guarantee eligibility or credit issued.

Free shipping on orders of $150 or more on complete orders for school districts only. Orders will ship by Matthew’s Buses choice of ground or freight carrier. Critical charges are the responsibility of the customer, Matthews Buses is not responsible for any delay due to shipping or carrier situations. 

Note – Parts damaged by carrier in transit must be accepted and noted with—
carrier at time of delivery, and Matthews must be notified immediately of damage. Matthews Bus Parts must be notified of any shortages and discrepancies at time of delivery.

Matthew's Buses will be closed in observance of President's Day on February 16th, 2026. We will re-open for normal hours on Tuesday February 17th.

Matthew's Buses will be closed in observance of Good Friday on April 3rd, 2026. We will re-open for normal hours on Monday April 6th.

Matthew's Buses will be closed in observance of Memorial Day on May 25th, 2026. We will re-open for normal hours on Tuesday May 26th.

Matthew's Buses will be closed in observance of Independence Day on July 3th, 2026. We will re-open for normal hours on Monday July 6th.

Matthew's Buses will be closed in observance of Labor Day on September 7th, 2026. We will re-open for normal hours on Tuesday September 8.

Matthew's Buses will be closed in observance of Columbus Day on October 12th, 2026. We will re-open for normal hours on Tuesday October 13th.

Matthew's Buses will be closed in observance of Veteran's Day on Monday 11th, 2026. We will re-open for normal hours on Tuesday November 12th.

Matthew's Buses will be closed for the Thanksgiving Holiday on Thursday, November 27th, and Friday November 28th. We will re-open for normal hours on Monday November 30th.

Matthew's Buses will be closed for the Holidays on Wednesday, December 23th. We will re-open for normal hours on Monday December 28th.
